New Falkenstein album Kraftort
Falkenstein is a fragile young oaktree in the fairywoods of new Pagan Folk Music. Born out of the mystic nature and ancient cult-places of southern Germany, Falkenstein guides you gently to heathen ancestors and their religion. This music is classical NeoFolk in best tradition, with beautiful lyrics about hallowed trees and woods, ancient tales and long forgotten natural rites. The project creates Tobias Franke and the name refers to the Falkenstein-mountain in Pfronten/Allgäu (Germany).
At the "castle ruin Falkenstein" King Ludwig ll planed a grail-castle in the gothic style. A even more fairytale version of castle-Neuschwanstein. Planned, but never executed because of the early death of the King. Kraftort is the third album of Falkenstein, this time with a fresh progressive/psychedelic touch. The main theme of the album are ancestors and the destiny of the ancient cult places. As a contrast to the mythological essence and the nature-mystical heathen lyrics you can find on this album a progressive apocalyptical song - a somber vision of the future, that puts ourselves as ancestors for the coming ages and therefore a reflection upon us. How we will let nature and Midgard to our descendants?
