Depeche Mode reschedule Start Tour

Depeche Mode are pleased to announce they will restart their interrupted Tour Of The Universe in Leipzig, Germany on June 8th. On May 12th, lead singer Dave Gahan suffered a severe bout of gastroenteritis, leading to his hospitalization and the cancellation of the Athens concert. While in hospital, further medical tests revealed a low-grade malignant tumour in Dave's bladder, which has since been successfully removed. At doctors' orders Dave Gahan must take a break until June 8th, to ensure that he makes a full recovery. The Leipzig show on June 8th will be the first concert following Dave's recovery.

Dependent to reopen this summer

The independent electronic label Dependent will resume operations in summer/fall 2009 and is forming a strategic partnership with the US independent label Metropolis records. Dependent stopped releasing new material in late 2007 due to the devastating effects music piracy has had on both artists and record labels and has not released any new material since. Falkenstein is a fragile young oaktree in the fairywoods of new Pagan Folk Music. Born out of the mystic nature and ancient cult-places of southern Germany, Falkenstein guides you gently to heathen ancestors and their religion. This music is classical NeoFolk in best tradition, with beautiful lyrics about hallowed trees and woods,ancient tales and long forgotten natural rites. The project creates Tobias Franke and the name refers to the Falkenstein-mountain in Pfronten/Allgäu (Germany).

Having Thin Moonshine to release album - 'Having Thin Moonshine'

Having Thin Moonshine is a musical project born in Venice at the end of 2006. The group includes: female voice (Ally), acoustic guitar (Pietro Baldan), bass (Dario Belardinelli) and drums (Jacopo Campi). Only three months after meeting in studio for the first time, the band records their first demo of five folk-new wave tracks and receives good reviews from the specialized press, raising the interest of radio stations and the public.

Current 93 leader joins Sigh on a new album

Current 93's David Tibet was hugely honoured to be invited by Sigh's Mirai Kawashima to contribute vocals to their forthcoming album called "Scene from Hell/Tempore Belli/Vanitas". Sigh is a death/black metal group from Tokio, Japan. "Scene from Hell" is the eighth album in their career and will be released on The End Records later this year.
