![]() Detroit Diesel - Coup D'Etat2012-04-02 (News)Whether the end of the world is as nigh as some prophets of doom predict or otherwise, there can be little doubt that we currently live in tempestuous times. Art has a tendency to reflect its environment – therefore in the aftermath of the "Occupy" protests, continued rioting across Europe, the ongoing "Arab Spring" and the sabre-rattling across the Straits of Hormuz, it should come perhaps as no surprise that DETROIT DIESEL have chosen "Coup d’Etat" as the title of their new album. Within the space of just one year the Canadian harsh-EBM duo’s debut album "Terre Humaine" already established them as one of the key threats to the current leaders of the dark electro scene. Now, with DETROIT DIESEL heading over to Europe for their first-ever "Club DeTour" in April (taking in Germany, France, Spain, Belgium, Russia, Greece and the UK) it is time for regime change – in the shape of an all-new album! For mixing and mastering, this time Kolja Trelle of SOMAN was responsible, who brings a rich resonance to the bass end of these club-friendly cuts. |
![]() La Chanson Noire - Cabaret Portugal2012-04-01 (News)We would like to present La Chanson Noire's new Album, "Cabaret Portugal" to be released April 1st. The album will have its physical edition through Raging Planet, in association with Raising Legends Records, Chaosphere and Helloutro enterprises. The digital edition is secured by Necrosymphonic.com and will be available at Itunes, Amazon and 300 other digital shops. "Cabaret Portugal" is much more than a record – it is, in itself, a modern Cadavre Exquis, a unique work of art, involving thirteen authors, fifteen photographers, two designers and one movie director, plus guest musicians. Among these, you can find names such as Fernando Ribeiro, Nuno Markl, David Soares or Adolfo Luxuria Canibal, to name only a few. The book which contains the 13 track cd, also includes 26 pictures and 13 original texts, all of them sharing the same titles, being that none of the collaborators had any contact with each other or their homonymous work. The collage of this blind collaboration results in a haunting, dense and schizophrenic work, only to fit like a glove to the beautiful gloominess of Sangnoir’s poetry and musical arrangements. |
![]() Dark Passion Compilation vol. 12012-03-31 (News)Dark Passion vol I is a journey in the embrace of dark music, which is not easy to classify. Over 50 minutes of music that will take you into the abyss of darkness. |
![]() Faderhead - The World of Faderhead2012-03-30 (News)What is left to say about Faderhead? That this is his 6th CD in 6 years? That his tracks fill dancefloors worldwide? That the uber-hit "TZDV" reached a million views on YouTube? That Faderhead kicks ass live? |
![]() 7JK - Anthems Flesh2012-03-29 (News)7JK is a new project of SIEBEN (UK) and Job Karma (PL). Mingling sounds of the violin and warm vocals permeate through electronic sounds teetering on the brink of industrial and psychedelic stuff. Despite the fact that characteristic sounds of Sieben’s music and the ones of Job Karma’s are clearly audible on Anthems Flesh, the music here is something distinctively new. This Polish-English band takes those who are interested in on a very intensive journey – wandering between lands of beauty, melancholy, aggression and softness. To be short – simply great songs, richness of emotions and incredible meeting of two diverse mentalities. A must-listen one not only for the fans of the genre. |
![]() The Flux Komplex - The Voice of A Lost Spirit2012-03-28 (News)The Flux Komplex was started around March 2003 as a unity with Karsten Hamre as the only permanent member, but with the intention of having it as a unity for collaborations with other artists, artists that would come and go as seen fit. The first collaboration undertaken was with Ioan Barladeanu a.k.a. Cycler. This started as Ioan and Karsten were asked to participate at Periferic 6 – Prophetic Corners (the biennial for contemporary art in Iasi, Romania). The organizers approached Ioan and Karsten to participate with music for an art installation called "SHOP", a project by the Scandinavian art group N55 (www.n55.dk). "The Voice of A Lost Spirit" is the second offering from THE FLUX KOMPLEX, and this time Karsten Hamre has worked together with Lucian Olteanu (Tronul Ascuns, Wide Open Wings, and Museum Of Transient Lights), which has made the project head in a more ambiental direction. The Flux Complex has underwent an ultimate metamorphosis and is currently focused on composing completely dissimilar genre of music. From the project which created electro beats, a new enigmatic creation which constructs gloomy ambient collages has emerged. |
