Kobold is a manifestation of the mental state of its members. Highly politically and socially charged, this project is a reflection of the turbulent state in which we are all immersed. Access to information is controlled; fear is used as a tool to manufacture consent; corporations shape the government and laws; and in a striking similarity to arenas of old Rome, we watch the death of war from the stands. A storm is brewing in the winds ahead.

And here's the deal: you can talk politics in your music, but if you lack creativity and original spirit, you ultimately lack a voice. Artoffact is proud to bring you one of the only projects that truly can be labeled as industrial music in 2006.

By now, you’ve heard of Electric Six. But how do you benefit from knowing that Electric Six is around? Can simply hearing of Electric Six get you money? Jewels? Happiness? If you think the answer is yes or no, proceed to the next paragraph. We live in a world where sound recordings are extremely important. Electric Six wants to make sound recordings. Their first attempt at sound recording saw the 2003 record Fire come to be. This record was really great. Because Fire was really great, the Electric Six was given the opportunity to make a second record.

US arrests Leaether Strip fan

It looks like a first victim has fallen under the spell of Leaether Strip's "Suicide Bombers" EPCD. An airline passenger with the words 'suicide bomber' written in his journal was arrested by the FBI when his plane arrived in San Jose, California, on Wednesday, January 4th Reuters reports. The man was able to explain that the words referred to the music by Claus Larsen and was free to go after hours of interrogations. The fan was observed by fellow passengers as having a journal and hand written on the journal were the words 'suicide bomber'. That, combined with the fact that he was clutching a back pack and 'acting a little suspiciously' prompted law enforcement to act so the FBI declared in a statement.

The British label Artificial Bliss, with Polish artists like mr.s and Blue hand, after the debut release "iko" by Chokai, posted a complete and free for download EP by Nick Del'Nero (aka Irlos) on their website (www.artificialbliss.com). The 20-minute material called "Framework" is a must for all experimental electronica and ambient/downtempo fans. Go get it!

New Mesh

It has been three years since UK trio Mesh unveiled their last album "Who Watches Over Me". They finally return now with a brand new album and single. "We Collide" offers 12 tracks in the standard edition alongside a Limited Version coming complete with a bonus DVD which will include additional audio and video material. Out on February 24 is the 6 track single "Crash" which includes three versions of the title track alongside the non-album tracks "Soul" and "Into This World" plus the videoclip for "Crash".
