They combine the theatrical music of the 30's ( silent movie music and Weimar cabaret ) with the CINEMA STRANGE-typical Batcave and relatively simple folk songs laced with insanity.

To Avoid debut album

2006-03-14 (News)

Dark Electro trio To Avoid deliver their searing debut album for the Cop Internnational label. Taking its influence from the dancefloor electro, industrial and EBM of the 80's and 90's they create their own driving sound with intelligent structures, distorted vocals and hard beats over a frame work of caustic melody - an explosive mix of thoughtful electro sounds well beyond over-synthesized pop and cut and paste productions. Instead of walking the beaten paths of too many electro-acts, To Avoid fuse new sounds with the best ingredients of 'classic' electro / EBM : a style originally produced by the electronic idols such as Front Line Assembly, YelworC and Leaether Strip...Music that recalls the best of the past while remaining firmly contemporary - "Voyage Into The Pat" is a musical feast and a must for every electro fan !
