Die Krupps and Nitzer Ebb

2005-12-05 (News)

After the legendary collaboration between Die Krupps and Nitzer Ebb in 1991 and the common hit "Wahre Arbeit, wahrer Lohn" / "The Machineries of Joy", that made all its way up straight into the Billboard Dance Charts, a new collaboration between both bands is now a fact. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Die Krupps, Douglas McCarthy of Nitzer Ebb visited the band in the Atom H studio in Düsseldorf a few weeks ago and made his vocal contribution to the new version of "The Machineries of Joy".

Ritual noise

2005-12-04 (News)

Covenant's new single "Ritual Noise", which will be released on January
20, will come in 4000 copies only, with a number of remixes and the
exclusive B-side "Crossroads" as well as a sticker.

There might be a North American edition too, since Metropolis and
Storming the Base say the single will hold the two "B-sides" "XRDS" and
"The Island" (as well as three versions of "Ritual Noise" -"Edit", "Main
Version", "Alpha Jet"). "Ritual Noise" is said to stylistically sound
reminiscent of Covenant's seminal album "Sequencer" mixed with the top
notch production of the latest album "Northern Light" (which was a bit
too polished for some fans). The delayed "Skyshaper" has a fixed release
date now: March 24.
