It’s difficult to choose songs for the publication which ought to promote given artistic work. Carefully selected material could praise a band to skies and place it in the music pantheon as well as entirely destroy. The debut of the musician who is French by descent introduces listeners with a new dimension of sound experience. Even though it cannot be called a full-scale release because it consists only of seven records with quite intriguing beginning after which follow four remixes. Musicians from Loire have already accustom the audience to non-standard compositions and the project A7ie hasn’t fall short of the expectations. Each track has it’s charm which is sometimes deceptive. "Messiah" got a lot of publicity in the club arena however remaining tracks also deserve attention. "Distress" is an uncompromising essence of what is demanded on the dance floor. Perhaps there is a feeling that it lucks crucial moments but as for the debut it’s really enough. Another positive accent is the fact that it’s deprived of the triumph of form over substance or the excessive frill of overloaded music ornaments. The release builds specific and inscrutable atmosphere which alongside with music variations doesn’t leave listeners cold. It’s a so-called dead cert in respect of successful party. Perfect for everyone who would eventually like to understand what means the sick music for the sick people. Worrisome, consisting of quite stimulating bits and gripping. Good, solid and interesting. In other words, worth buying.
