The year 2011 surprised the gothic-doom metal scene with very good albums. One of them is the newest material of the Romanian doom metal band "Abigail" which is called "It Is The Night I Fear". This EP wants to reveal the deepest emotions, the music touches the soul and the lyrics touch the memories, the feelings or the human high hopes. Having 4 parts, these songs presents a new file in the history of the band. Abigail started in 1993 and in all these years the band tried to composed dark music which was rewarded by the many concerts, live shows and sold albums. But, let’s back to the last EP "It Is The Night I Fear"! It starts with "Mirror / A Room Without Windows", the first part is introducing the listener in the dark world full of counfused memories and thoughts: "Wonder why I'm so afraid In a world of little games" "Astral Sleep" presents the human mind full of fear, shadows but with a little hope which "Starts to whisper in my ears". The third part is a "Sweet Cruelty", all the dark thoughts are around "From head to toes / They all leave scars and carve / deep trails down to my bones / Until I die". The end of the EP is the self title album song "It Is The Night I Fear" and the guitar riffs, the melodic death, the crush of the drums really make you to find the answer of the mistery: " It is the Night I fear / The most / Of all the nights I've feared / Before…". the music always will be closed to the listener in the middle of the night embracing his thoughts and hopes.
