Mortiis drops mask and returns with new album

Mortiis, the electronic metal band from Notodden (Norway), returns with "The Great Deceiver" album. Expect a mix of techno, industrial, metal, punk and progressive rock which the band describes as being "decidedly '09". The album is the follow-up to 2007's "Some Kind of Heroin" (Earache Records). The band dedicated 2 years to create this album which was produced by Mortiis and Levi, and co-mixed by the duo and Chris Vrenna (Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails). Music videos for the tracks "Doppelganger" and "Zeitgeist" were filmed by Robyn Von Swank, the renowned photographer. Important detail, Mortiis no longer wears the latex mask that was the visual face of the band during its early live performances.


Suicide Commando reveals name new album

"Implements of hell" will be the title of the upcoming new album from Belgium's dark electro act Suicide Commando. The album will be the follow up to their 2006 album "Bind, torture, kill" and the X20 anniversary box set released in 2007. Johan Van Roy is currently working hard on this new album which still can be expected in 2009. Whether or not the album will be preceded by a new single and/or EP is not known yet, but they hope to give you more details in the next months.

Folklore devils , CROSSOVER, the creepy electronic band are back with their pariah mythos - descending upon us with their new full length 3rd album SPACE DEATH ! This album goes deeper into the world of CROSSOVER both lyrically and musically. One will sense they have been many moons since their last release. This time the sound and themes run darker and heavier in the instrumentation with hard-edged electronics.

Colosseum - Chapter 2: Numquam

COLOSSEUM is a project with the aim to create the most bleak and funereal atmospheres through music. Darkest hymns for a forlorn souls, diving into the deepest abyss of mind. The idea of COLOSSEUM was born in 2006 when the mastermind of YEARNING started due to his frustration towards mostly everything to create extremely slow and heavy material. After composing five full-lenght cd's under the name of YEARNING he wanted to do something extremely dark and powerful. The debut album Chapter 1: Delirium was recorded at D-Studio, Klaukkala in May 2007 and released in November 2007. The album gained a positive response from the fans and the press and the first pressing was quite quickly sold out. COLOSSEUM also did live appearances in Latvia (Riga, Liepaja) and Finland.

IAMX - new album and tournee

IAMX: The third studio album from IAMX, 'Kingdom Of Welcome Addiction', will be released on May 19, 2009 worldwide. All pre-ordered CDs will be shipped on May 6th. IAMX will be touring to support the new release. A European tour starts on March 1st and extends through the end of May. A mini-US tour follows in June.
