Architect/ Sonic Area/ Hologram - We Are The Alchemists

2015-10-13 (News)

Alchemy is an influential tradition whose practitioners have, from antiquity, claimed it to be the precursor to profound powers. These powers can transform physical energies, but besides that, a true alchemist also has the ability to perceive the world's essence behind its superficial appearance, and it is his challenge to use this ability for showing untaught and open-minded persons what is beyond the daily grind. Three prominent and significant projects decided to discharge these powers by bundling their distinct creativity into the fascinating collaboration 'We Are the Alchemists'. The title is well-considered and it conveys a certain meaning: we all could be the alchemists if we really want to. Gold is all around us and it's inside everything - let's release our hidden capacity to stay amazed. Each band's characteristics and strengths realize their full potential in this amalgam: Architect (Daniel Myer), Sonic Area (Arnaud Coëffic aka Arco Trauma) and Hologram_ (Martin Delisle) splice a propellant multitude of powerful grooves, impulsive sequencer lines, atmospheric soundscapes, experimental synth layers and abstract bits and pieces while adding uncommon melodies and detached piano dots. An amplitude of styles between technoid breakbeats, idm, downtempo, modern classical and ambient merge into an ambitious work of contemporary electronica suitable for both listening and dancing - truly an alchemistic hybrid fusing three individuals into one.

Ugasanie - Eye of Tunguska

2015-10-12 (News)

Ugasanie is back with his third album entitled "Eye of Tunguska". A strange incident took place in the 1990s in late autumn in the taiga. Not far from the epicenter of the Tunguska meteorite impact site. A group of students went hiking to to see this legendary site. They lost their way after they decided to spend the night in one of the winter huts built by hunters of the land. Their mutilated bodies were later found near an old abandoned geological base with radiation burns. Ugasanie explores this incident together with photographer Alexsandr Yakushev in this eerily cold and unforgiving dark ambient release.

Diary Of Dreams - Grau im Licht

2015-10-10 (News)

One and a half year after the extremely successful ‘Elegies in Darkness’, Diary of Dreams return with an all new 12-tracks album! The overall feeling on ‘Grau im Licht’ (= Grey in Light) is unusually familiar – almost as if it was intrinsically tied to mankind. And yet, in the past few years it seems to be growing more and more acute. If you look at the world, it feels as if there is only one sensible reaction – to become emotionally numb or withering, or to despair completely. War, destruction, fanaticism, egoism, suffering and mourning as far as the eye can see. Everyone is fighting for themselves and for their own interests only, with nobody looking at the greater scheme of things. Just as always. This is precisely the main focus of "Grau im Licht", just as the media with its manipulation, do- minated by national issues. Therefore, the 12 songs of the 12th album by Diary of Dreams are as dark and violent as can be expected. There is no shortage of grand gestures – dark rhythm bulwarks throw themselves against massive guitar strongholds, while electronic walls of sound carry Adrian’s charismatic vocals through the compositions. And of course the album also features the typical melodic-melancholic synth hymns and deep-delving ballads. Thus, this new work has become everything the perfect Diary of Dreams album should be: powerful, melancholic, irate, rousing and thought-provoking! Besides, "Grau im Licht" has become a statement – against the epidemic madness and for empathy and kindness…

Freakangel - The Show Of Violence

2015-10-09 (News)

Recorded during Freakangel’s extended "The Ones To Fall" tour last winter, this aptly titled "The Show Of Violence" live album immortalizes the band’s sonic fury and performance rage on stage over the last 5 years. Since its creation in late 2009, the Estonian electronic-industrial-metal band Freakangel has been playing extensively across Europe including highly praised shows at renown festivals like Wave-Gotik-Treffen or Castle Party.
This concert at the Rockstar’s Club in the band’s very own city Tallinn – Estonia, was also filmed using 5 different cameras and will be revealed on internet channels soon for a full visual aggressive and detonating experience. Please keep sensible souls away from these poisonous sounds: Freakangel stands for the soundtrack to the ultimate forces of destruction within a tortured human heart. The end is only the beginning.

Lovelorn Dolls - Happy Valentine

2015-10-08 (News)

With its appealing somber theme, catchy chorus, incisive goth rock guitar melodies and dark and tortured electronic arrangements, "Happy Valentine" is released. Lovelorn Dolls recorded an amazing version together with Maja Marcucci, an unplugged recording beautifully reinforcing the dramatic atmosphere of the song’s difficult theme of domestic violence, and abused & battered women in general. With the aim to stretch this song’s potential to the max and to plunge it into new and different universes. Lovelorn Dolls also intelligently selected different artists they collaborated with to get 4 amazing remixed versions, starting with Helalyn Flowers and surprising 80’s-tainted almost Eurodance version, a modern and angry dancefloor mix by dark techno club guru DJ Simon Carter, a minimal and almost theatrical intimate retake by Jean-Marc Lederman and enchanting and hypnotizing ambient electro trance reinterpretation by the genius Restriction 9.
Lovelorn Dolls offer 7 bonus live songs recorded during their stunning performance at the Eurorock festival in May 2015. Dynamic show with full symbiosis with their audience while their heavy-loaded synthesizers bleed their infectious electronic melodies across the walls of melodic guitar riffs, the upbeat manic drums and the female singer’s highly expressive carrying voice.
