Biography:

CZARINA (styled as C Z A R I N A) is Vero Faye Kitsuné, an American award-winning electronic rock musician, producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, filmmaker, visual artist, and a long-time veteran creative director and designer in the fashion industry. A New Yorker now based in Galicia, Spain, CZARINA is a multi-disciplinary artist that combines transcendental themes with her love for futurist culture, biomechanics, art and ancient history, mythology, folklore, animist mysticism, Japanese Animes, and budo martial arts.
CZARINA’s ethereal yet heavy-hitting cerebral soundscape seamlessly melds electronic with organic sounds, transcending a vast spectrum of genres including darkwave, dark ethereal, synthpop, progressive gothic rock, industrial and future pop, and post-metal. She takes her audience into expansive dimensions, filled with vast dynamics consisting of atmospheric and cinematic synths, grand orchestral arrangements, thunderous percussions, polyrhythms, sonic guitar riffs, heraldic choral harmonies, powerful and epic vocals, striking visuals, and poignant, thoughtful lyricism that compels one to look inward, around and beyond the material world. Her eclectic list of musical and visionary influences include Nine Inch Nails, TOOL, Massive Attack, Bjork, The Knife, Fever Ray, Puscifer, Vangelis, A Perfect Circle, The Cranberries, Enya, David Bowie, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, QUEEN, Blondie, Kate Bush, Siouxsie Sioux, Tori Amos, Joe Hisashi, Nobuo Uematsu; and visual masters and storytellers Hayao Miyazaki, Guillermo Del Toro, Katsuhiro Otomo, Masamune Shirow, Yoshitaka Amano, HR Giger, and Hajime Sorayama.
