Let's get back to the year 1999. Reality TV doesn't exist, the clear CD
costs fortune, the recorder is a luxurious thing and World Trade Center
stands still and looks nice ... In this year appears a label recording
company which gathers five bands - Covenant, VNV Nation, Velvet Acid
Christ, Suicide Commando and Seabound. Five bands - like five fingers of
one hand -and here's the logo of the company.
And now, a fast return to the present times: a hundred clear CDs cost 15
Euro, the recorders are computers  standard equipment, World Trade
Center does not exist anymore... what has changed in Dependent? Five
bands turned to fourteen. And so in 2004 appears the collection worth of
interest because it contains only the unique or unreleased pieces. Don't
think that they are bad since they weren't released! Dependent did a
really good job and offers absolutely rare recordings, described in
detail in a little book attached to the album. Part of these recordings
was supposed to be released as singles, but for the lack of time they
appeared on this compilation. As far as music is concerned, the track
list speaks for itself. First, harsh beat by Mindless Faith, then
slightly softer pieces and again stronger impact of Flesh Field and
finally good piece live by Covenant. The only thing that this album
lacks is the fifth finger, namely Velvet Acid Christ. If some of their
material appeared on the album it would be 100%.
As it is - it's 90%.
