Get Wired_ is a Szczecin-based electro-experimental project. The duo gracefully explores different electronical genres. Therefore, the sound is fresh, not monotonous, pretty light, with a small industrial intrusion. So far, the band has recorded a demo entitled "demo_" which contains 5 debut tracks - altogether, a little over 20 minutes. The songs are rather heterogenous, cleverly composed, not letting the listener grow tired. The electronic parts and the bass guitar tracks evoke a pleasant tingling, with Leilah being reponsible for both of them. GW_ wouldn't be undoubtedly charming were it not for the clear, ensual vocal of Lariyah, who introduces a lot of different emotional levels into the music, strongly influencing the listener. As I've already mentioned, each track is different. The first one, "Audio Track", is dynamic and rhythmical. The drums might slightly remind you of Prodigy. The further, the better. "Burn", the second track, is my favourite one - melodic, easy to remember, and Lariyah's extremely pleasant voice introduces neat vibrations. The next track, "Machinery Stops", is also very good, but could've been better, without the unnecessary echo effect used for the vocals... or is the flaw in the quality of its recording? That's a common problem for all the groups beginning their careers, as new equipment is pretty expensive, and a professional recording studio is hard to find. Nevertheless, GW_'s music isn't worse because of the quality lacks, remaining unusually attractive. The last two tracks are a bit psychodelic, with the latter being an instrumental composition. A pretty good fade-out for the listener and a nice conclusion of the whole record. To sum it all up - GW_'s debut is certainly a success, but I have to deduce a bit from the final rating because of the aforementioned sound quality. I hope that GW_ will have access to better equipment, as they certainly deserve it.
