The music recreating the style of the eighties simultaneously characterised by the atmosphere of medieval ballads evokes fascinating aura. Listening to the sounds created by Opera Multi Steel you may feel like in an old church, where the particular parts of the compositions echo on the stone floors, and in ascetic interiors the only warmth comes from sparse burning candles.
French, extremely melodious lyrics sung by almost hypnotic voice create unearthly atmosphere. Simple melodic lines do not interfere with anything, on the contrary – they enable better reception of the latest release.
Each of the lyrics is different but what links them together is their subject matter connected with the medieval book, known as "Golden Legend." It is about lives and martyrdom of the saints.
Winsome stylistics in a form of electronic, synth sound along with intriguing vocal makes it almost impossible to stop listening to this album.
The proper choice of instruments brings to mind medieval chorals.
The first three compositions are so beautiful that they almost make you cry; minimalistic style was accurately used to create an appropriate atmosphere for the presentation of the old phenomena of mysticism. Some more compositions that attracted my attention are So., Au Sein De L’Essence Meme and Un Art.Fatal.
Homelie Melodique has rare, really unusual sound. You have an impression of being in unearthly space filled with the sound in all possible ways.
Without superfluous ornaments the band stresses the need to notice the spiritual essence of human existence while special energy accumulated in the album makes it easier to overcome everyday hardship.
