„Pandemonium my order” is the first project of Shawdowlights behind which is Fredrik Andersson – man, the only thing I know about is that he is a professional musician. He has not only some ambient projects to his credit, but also he has made music to some short and documentary movies. What's more, F. Andersson is from Sweden and I have a strong belief that everything which comes from the country of three crowns must be good. But is it the same with “Pandemonium my order”? In my opinion in this case the exception proves the rule. Despite the material is quite good as far as dark ambient is concerned, I don’t really think this album is extraordinary or unique. There are three very similar tracks on this CD, which total time doesn’t exceed 16 minutes. Thanks to it the listener won’t be tired with the music, however it doesn’t compensate the fact that the material is so dull that You won’t bear it in Your mind for a long time. However, it is nice to listen to, because it’s gentle and stirring - the atmosphere of mystery is created by keyboards which dominated the whole compilation. From time to time a male, very low and deep vocal appears and that’s in fact all. The CD is placed in a standard box but with very interesting cover which represents the atmosphere of the album in an excellent way. I’m afraid I could spend more time describing the box which probably means that the box itself is more interesting than its content… Let us hope that Mr Frederik Andersson will surprise us with something more interesting someday. To sum up, Shadowlights ”Pandemonium My Order” is nothing special but if You get it for free than You may listen to it…
