The New Spetsnaz record has arrived with a tramp, hobnailed army boot's step. The content of the lp called "Totalitar" is the pith and marrow of what these gentlemen represent - rhythm, power and an army of heavily synthetic, drilling noises. Spetsnaz are what could be referred to as one of the leading EBM artists of the 21st Century and, with their releases, they certainly deserve that opinion. The new record may not be a novelty, but it does have that well known and much liked feel of the previous recording, though this time with a clear accent over power, entity and decisiveness. What I personally like best is the set of samples and sounds, the instruments used in the band`s music haven't changed much and I find that to be very positive, I missed such tones in music since "Grand Design". For starters we receive a big kick with that Spetsnaz army boot with "Intro", and it just gets faster further on. The beat goes faster, and the vocal line leads us through the corridors of subjects like unification, the meaning of the mass - not the individual, courage and cowardness and the perversity of human nature. Suming up, the new record should suit the "true" EBM fans as well as people who love that good old strong and rhythmic dancefloor patter. This record will definetly be present in the party playlists in Posen and it's going to take total control of the crowd. I'm giving the record 90% cause it can always be faster and better! Hua!
