I admit that I rarely listen to albums at "hit and miss" mode. However, sometimes one must look also for new inspirations and so it was in this case - I was interested by the project description known as Terrorkode. So therefore, it is time to set off on a musical journey...
On a good morning we get a track gracefully named "Pain". It starts promisingly - energetic, with a good beat, encourages to familiarize with the whole material on the album. Great samples and a lot of effects... I can say that it begins very promising and I think I will be more likely to apply the practice of "hit and miss", because it looks to me like a pretty good shot. Another piece is already known from previously released EP "Motherfuckers". Full of energy and certainly bearing signs of a club hit. I think you do not need to dwell much on this particular track, it is just great. The next stop on this trip served by Terrorkode is "Forward And Rewind" - consistent, although very diverse. Do not forget about the huge dose of good beat. It goes smoothly into next track, "Exterminate", which starts very calmly. However, this peace do not last too long... and very well. Strength, energy, and another wave of brilliant beat are flooding our ears. Here is pretender for the title of the club hit straight from that disc. That piece’s intensity can wake up even in bad Monday’s morning. Next song was created with Javi Ssagittar from Terrolokaust who gave guest vocals. Very interesting combination, but absolutely unsurprising but it has its charm. Good beat and great vocal make almost ideal combination. Next in line is "Whore" piece also known from aforementioned EP - perfect for the dance floor, very melodic and coherent, like its successor, "Neural Weapon". Swinging piece carrying powerful dose of energy. No. eight on the album is "Machine", little calmer one but carrying great potential. Developing over time and technically very polished. Next track is very intriguing if we look at the title "Kubrick was here". What more to say, great samples, polished track, but somewhere it begins to lose this energy and freshness present from the beginning of the album... Yes, sneaks a bit of monotony, but if the entire release would be ideal, it would mean that something is wrong. Next in line is the track "Synthetik Humans", which significantly slows down the pace. But this is absolutely no drawback, because it retains the overall mood of the album. The penultimate song is "Replicant", a nice change from the slower predecessor. The pace increases, enters energy present from the beginning and intensity. Broken beat and interesting samples add specific taste. It is similarly with the last piece, "War". In my opinion it is perfect ending to a really good album. Here you can feel that power present from the beginning. Indeed in addition interestingly impressive almost psychopathic vocal.
Additionally the album contains two remixes - one performed by Noisuf-X and the second made by well-known Phosgore. Noisuf-X remixed "Forward and Rewind" track with its typical sound. It differs slightly from the original and it has typical for that project rhythm. It is similarly with the remix made by Phosgore, this time at the workshop was taken "Pain" track. What can I say, great remix of the great song. I think you have nothing more to say, what remains is just to listen to.
To sum up the whole Terrorkode’s album I can say that it is really good shot for me. At first I was very skeptical about this album, but from the very first sounds I liked it very much. The whole is very consistent and energetic. I can honestly say I would recommend it to all admirers of the broken beats and industrial enthusiasts.
