I have listened to that album 'n' times still trying to refer it to the previous albums of Unit:187. I can tell you one thing - you can not. No matter how to look at it - this is the material of Canadians in rather interesting and specific packaging. Considering the band, that is responsible for these remixes - at the start it can be assumed, that it is a good job. We will not be mistaken.
We can find here more melody but also the dirt. More closely to the noise samples, but also smelling like synth layers. An example of a club melody is "Threatened" assembled by Rom DiPrisco. In my opinion no event under the banner of Dark Independent will be ashamed of it. You can see in general, that the track gets to the liking of people responsible for remixes. On the album there are three its versions and each one is unique. A great contrast to that track is "Living To Die" made by Necrotek. Heavy, slow, almost overwhelming and threatening. "DDD" made by Ivardensphere is also extremely peculiar. It starts inconspicuously. From a gong, didgeridoo, djembe flute reaching their mixture with strong electronic-guitar sound. For me, total.
We also have a treat. New song "Blood For Blood" with interwoven strings. But it need to be heard.
It can not be stated too clearly, who will like this album. Liking 'standard' records of Unit:187 it is worth to acquaint with it. Liking a fresh look at the nature of industrial and its rock variety, or simply disliking boredom in music - you can try it blindly. There is no music for everyone, but since you are reading this and you know why you are here, I can say with clean conscience, that you will find something for yourself.
I am going to listen to it for the 'n +1' time, and you can wait until March 27 for the premiere. It is worth it.
