Catherine Elms - Medusa
Catherine Elms has released a new single titled "Medusa," drawing inspiration from the ancient Greek myth of a snake-haired being who could turn observers to stone. The new song, which offers the Welsh dark alt. artist’s first preview of her upcoming second album, layers whispered vocals over a distinctive piano bassline, described as "a call to embrace your flaws and learn to love the monster within."
Framing a message of finding strength and power in vulnerability, Elms encourages listeners to find "empowerment in the parts of yourself you were told to hide, the messy, jealous, or dark emotions that make us human." A self-taught musician who has developed a distinctive approach to exploring inner darkness and transformation over many years.
The "Medusa" single ncludes unlimited streaming via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more, accompanied by a music video directed by Jamie Panton.
