I’ve heard about La Sante at the very beginning of march. It is another editorial company from Halotan Records that promotes polish dark independent stage projects. I listened to one recommended by ‘sneak preview’ plant and… I fouled up. I’ve always been keen on electronic music but ‘Poulave’ is known as the first EBM album which I absolutely enjoyed.

Furthermore I contacted Andree Vdb to get to know anymore. One who did not try cannot even have an idea how hard it is. The ‘Poulave’ author has nothing to do with artists who are able to change the interview into huge speech about The music, creative mission and that dark ambience which envelops an artist and what is vital to create anything. Andree is a nice, wise man (besides just listen to his voice); while talking to him I reassured myself that he is a guy who is communicating the world with sounds when words are not enough. He is enigmatic, totally.

La Sante is a young single project revealed a few months ago. The name was taken from Enemy of the State film as a place where main character frequently stayed: La Sante prison. It is not about criminal plot, far from it, it is all about sound of the name. In 90’s Andree coproduced post-punk band the DHM. He played the bass and sang. Before the ‘Poulave’ album was crystallized other projects had been made: ‘AndreeVanDerBerg’, ‘GORE’, ‘Muezin’, ‘Psychokinetic’, which gave the artist basics and possibilities to search for sounds.

The album was made in Sweden but we can see polish features. Its French sounding title means as much as ‘Puławy’ – the root city for artist. Polish texts are very important part of a project. Low voice tone, clearance, minimalism, pun actually, stories about love fear and loneliness. Beautiful, dark, sensory, cold and so much EBM.

The purpose of a project is to cause emotions. Without a spread, cause is pointless, no inspirations, ideology. It is hard to explain is better to listen to.
