New York's Interface combines elements of darker EBM, trance, and industrial, all with a melodic, emotional edge. Interface's fourth full-length album reflects yet another positive turn in its career. 13 songs of mature and introspective lyrics, lush synth textures, and club-ready beats make for the next evolution in the band's sound. Already previewed on its own EP, "Destination" appears at full length here, alongside more standout tracks like the hard-hitting "Body Flow" and "Modern Life", and slower works like "Pavilion". Guest musicians on the album include Dawn Mitchell (Missile Command) on "Voices (Echo)" and Rachel Feder on "Destination". The CD version of the album is "enhanced", in that when you place it into a CD-ROM drive you can access the entire album in MP3 format (including two bonus tracks).

With the unleashing of this new concept album, vocalist Nikki Telladictorian and electronics guru Greg VanEck set and follow their own standards with a truly unique vision. Based loosely on the mythology of Pandora's Box, Plague called huMANity is ProBurn's most ambitious and accessible work to date. Combining remarkably varied elements of industrial, breakcore, and IDM, Plague Called HuMANity has an artistic bloodlust that oozes from every fractured note. Seeping with subtle nods and references to their earliest electro-industrial influences of the 80's and 90's.

Mortiis drops mask and returns with new album

Mortiis, the electronic metal band from Notodden (Norway), returns with "The Great Deceiver" album. Expect a mix of techno, industrial, metal, punk and progressive rock which the band describes as being "decidedly '09". The album is the follow-up to 2007's "Some Kind of Heroin" (Earache Records). The band dedicated 2 years to create this album which was produced by Mortiis and Levi, and co-mixed by the duo and Chris Vrenna (Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails). Music videos for the tracks "Doppelganger" and "Zeitgeist" were filmed by Robyn Von Swank, the renowned photographer. Important detail, Mortiis no longer wears the latex mask that was the visual face of the band during its early live performances.

Suicide Commando reveals name new album

"Implements of hell" will be the title of the upcoming new album from Belgium's dark electro act Suicide Commando. The album will be the follow up to their 2006 album "Bind, torture, kill" and the X20 anniversary box set released in 2007. Johan Van Roy is currently working hard on this new album which still can be expected in 2009. Whether or not the album will be preceded by a new single and/or EP is not known yet, but they hope to give you more details in the next months.
