ORPLID presents ''Greifenherz''

On November 24th, the neofolk/ambient band ORPLID will release their fourth album called "Greifenherz" (engl.: "Gryphon Heart"). In contrast to its predecessor "Sterbender Satyr" it is a belligerent and archaic piece of work, filled with pathos, and marked by a surprisingly hostile and cold atmosphere.

You can expect 15 reverb drenched tales of love, loss, betrayal and revenge so same ol' same ol'.The album is guitar driven and features a Motley Crew of guest musicians spanning a sound from Johhny Thunders style ballads and rocking numbers to down tempo, psychedelic torch songs. Animatter - "Alternative Matter"

In the wake of the recent union tours of Antimatter and Ion, Mick Moss and Duncan Patterson will record new versions of selected Antimatter tracks for the forthcoming retrospective compilation "Alternative Matter", a planned 2CD/1DVD set. Also, new plans for the set are some remixes by both Moss and Patterson, as well as an in-depth interview/documentary for the DVD. Due to these new plans, the release of "Alternative Matter" should be mid-late 2009.

Psy'Aviah creates music with...you !

The Belgian electro act Psy'Aviah, who recently released their "Entertainment Industries" album, has started a little experiment in order to create music together with all of you. How it works?
Simple: the band will tackle the song step by step (bassline, lyrics, vocals, melodies, structure, etc..) and after each step they will pick the ideas they like the most to come up with the next evolution of the song which then again will require your input. The band wants input from all genres, from people who do music to people who nag about music, from those who can read notes and from those who don't even know what sheet music looks like.
