Animatter - "Alternative Matter"

In the wake of the recent union tours of Antimatter and Ion, Mick Moss and Duncan Patterson will record new versions of selected Antimatter tracks for the forthcoming retrospective compilation "Alternative Matter", a planned 2CD/1DVD set. Also, new plans for the set are some remixes by both Moss and Patterson, as well as an in-depth interview/documentary for the DVD. Due to these new plans, the release of "Alternative Matter" should be mid-late 2009.

Psy'Aviah creates music with...you !

The Belgian electro act Psy'Aviah, who recently released their "Entertainment Industries" album, has started a little experiment in order to create music together with all of you. How it works?
Simple: the band will tackle the song step by step (bassline, lyrics, vocals, melodies, structure, etc..) and after each step they will pick the ideas they like the most to come up with the next evolution of the song which then again will require your input. The band wants input from all genres, from people who do music to people who nag about music, from those who can read notes and from those who don't even know what sheet music looks like. Obszon Geschopf returns from the dead

BLC music we have re-signed Obszon Geschopf, the "ugly creature" and madman from France as the label puts it. Obszon Geschopf will b releasing the double-disc CD, "Erection Body Mutilated (back from the dead)".

Coil - ''The New Backwards''

Coil has released a final recording. The New Backwards, contains material with the same pedigree as TCoil has released a final recording. The New Backwards, contains material with the same pedigree as The Ape of Naples - In other words tracks that were originally recorded at Trent Reznor's New Orleans studio in the 90s and held back at the time for some reason not immediately clear, though the original roughs were available on the Net for years since. These remaining tracks - the last remaining major unreleased work by Coil, yet unused on The Ape, were reworked in Bangkok last year by Peter Christoperson & Danny Hyde.
