Placebo cambeck news & drummer announced

Placebo are back in the studio working on a new album! The band finished their last touring campaign in September of last year in the USA (on the Projekt Revolution tour with Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance). Since then the band have taken some much needed time out and over the past couple of months have been hard at work writing and demoing new material in London. The boys are now recording with producer David Bottrill (the man behind Tool’s ‘Aenima’, ‘Salival’ and ‘Lateralus’ albums, Silverchair’s ‘Diorama’ and dEUS ‘The Ideal Crash’). Engineering the album is James Brown who worked with the band on ‘Meds’.

Remix Album for The Cure

The long awaited new album of The Cure, which still has no title confirmed as for now, will be postponed to 13 october 2008. The long wait for the fans will be shortened a bit since at 13 september after the four new singles, also a 4 song remix EP will be released named ''Hypnogogic States''.

Umbra Et Imago announes last album

Mozart has announced that Umbra et Imago will enter the studio from october to recortd their final album. This will end an era for the band as far as releases are concerned. According to the band it will no longer be an option to make any CD's since too much money is lost on releases due to downloading music. Gothika Sings with Dance Macabre

Visual Kei is the stereotypic vision about japanese music art. In case of the wellknown duo Gothika, their musical field is much more electronic and follows a european paradigm of songwriting. The newsigned Danse Macabre artists release their album "120 days of Sodom" before heading for another tour through Europe and Russia.

Hocico working on Live Album

Live concerts of EBM and industrial acts are always a bit contradictory. No matter how good the atmosphere or sound, it is almost never really a live affair. So, live albums from this scene are relatively rare at this point. One of the scene's most prolific dark electro industrial artists, Hocico will now make this step. ''Tora! Tora! Tora!'' will be released this year. Then we can decide in what way the songs will be differengt from the studio versions and what hocico will present us.
