Fixmer/McCarthy releases second album

Fixmer/McCarthy releases second album, plays EuropeInto the Night, the second album release from techno producer Terence Fixmer and Nitzer Ebb vocalist Douglas McCarthy's Fixmer/McCarthy project, is available now from Synthetic Symphony, a sub-label of SPV. The duo has also announced several upcoming European performances, including festival appearances July 19 at the Extrema Outdoor Festival in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, July 25 at Gothic Festival 2008 in Waregem, Belgium and September 6 at the Nocturnal Culture Night in Deutzen, Germany.

Nachtmahr releases first full-length album

L'ame Immortelle's Thomas Rainer will release the first full-length album from Nachtmahr, his terror EBM side project, June 30 on Vendetta Music. Entitled Feuer Frei, the new album follows up last year's Kunst Ist Krieg EP.

A year after their debut, Tearwave returns with this monumental 17 song, 77 minute CD, 'Different Shade of Beauty', scheduled for release on Projekt label on July 29, 2008. Overflowing with passion and motion, Jennifer's soaring vocals float over guitar glaciers, letting her words flow from a very authentic place, tapping into the darkest sides of her self. Different Shade of Beauty's huge washes of shoegazer / indie-rock / dream-pop is driven by Doug's sweeping, gauzy guitars creating a dense musical interplay with Joe's surging bass-lines and John's insistent drum rhythms. Tearwave blends dark waves of disintegration with shoegaze dream pop setting a mood for self-discovery.

Andrea Ashdown (ex Glis member) died

Andrea Ashdown died suddenly, on June 24th, somewhere outside Las Vegas, age 33. She joined Shaun Frandsen in 2001, creating project Glis. Their scene debut was during The Catwalk festival in Seattle.
