Qntal - 'Purpurea'

At 31 october the well known German medieval formation Qntal will release a Best Of album with the title "Purpurea". Packaged in a luxury cd box the retrospective contains all the highlights and remixes of the latest years. Qntal brings the modern into medieval and medieval into the modern. New Bloc Party Album Intimancy Out This today

The third Bloc Party album ''Intimacy'' will be available this thursday via the website of the band www.blocparty.com . The band has announced this yesterday during a webchat with their fans. ''Intimacy'' has been produced by Paul Epworth (also responsible for the debut album ''Silent Alarm'') and Jacknife Lee (of the second album ''A Weekend in the City'') and recorded in Kent and London. Alan Moulder has done the mixing. Some tracks will sound like nothing before, wilst other tracks are typical Bloc Party instant classics like ''Helicopter'', ''Banquet'' or ''So Here We Are''. Last week Bloc Party already released the new single ''Mercury''.

''Electropop'' compilation series launches first volume

The follow up to the "Elektrisch!" compilation series from the past years has arrived. "Electropop.1" is the first volume of the new compilation series from the team that compiled "Elektrisch!" over the past years. "Electropop.1" will bring you fresh sounds of new electropop-bands which the team consider to be worth to discover. The edition of the compilation is strictly limited to 777 numbered cds.

Live album for The Clash

The Clash are to release a live album, featuring a concert they played supporting The Who at New York's Shea Stadium in 1982, on October 6th. The release will contain the band's entire 15 song set. Also released that same day is the Don Lett DVD "The Clash Live - Revolution Rock". The DVD contains more than twenty performances from all stages of The Clash' career. A few days earlier, on October 3rd, the first authorised biography of the band, "The Clash By The Clash", featuring extensive interviews with all the band member will be published.

Nahtaivel - Killer Speaks

Killer Speaks is the new NAHTAIVEL album, launched by the Wave Records. New sensation of the Brazilian Dark/Industrial music, the band come to consolidate in the alternative scene. For lovers of bands like Das Ich, Hocico, Suicide Commando, Wumpscut and Psyclone Nine. Influenced by bands of the Black Metal scene until EBM/Industrial, but with original sound like no other. The CD contains 14 songs of Dark-Electro, Industrial and EBM presented with much weight, melody, technic and sound layers. His lyrics deal with violent, obscure and controversial topics, sung in a very aggressive form, through a distorted voice.

The return of 18 Summers

The legendary 18 Summers (formerly Silke Bischoff) will return to the music business and announce this news at the Nocturnal Culture Night at 5 september where they perform together with Sara Noxx. Together with friends like Peter Spilles (Project Pitchfork), Frank Spinath (Seabound), Feindflug and 18 Summers, she will perform in the Kulturpark Deutzen in Leipzig, Germany. 18 Summers contributes a song on the new release of Sara Noxx, and are planning a new 18 Summers album.
