Sonic Area - Eyes In The Sky

2016-04-11 (News)

Sonic Area returns with 'Eyes In The Sky', a release which astoundingly combines the unmistakable with the unexpected. Inspired by the mysteries secretly hidden within dark nights and by classical sci-fi culture, this oeuvre is about a nostalgic cosmic space and time travel in an imaginary spherical spaceship. A metaphor of the phantasmagoric biosphere/technosphere all autists and mind explorers nowadays survive in, locked in their own imagination while drifting into the unknown. But it is also about rediscovering our inner child and simply looking up, being amazed and living a humbling experience. 'Eyes In The Sky' features eleven fully electronic vintage modular synth compositions for a stellar ride into a retro sci fi universe, passing the legacy of electronic, repetitive and minimal music.

ELM - Hardline

2016-04-10 (News)

Swedish one-man assault squad ELM will not deceive with "Hardline". True to its title, this album has attitude. It is strong, raw and menacing. With its powerful vocals, ripping basslines and stomping beats, this EBM album also combines intelligent lyrics with an astounding production maturity level that will leave you breathless.
Not surprising, knowing that this well-crafted high quality electronic album is written and produced by none other than the elektro veteran Peter Elm (Restricted Area) and mastered by comrade Pontus Stålberg (Spetsnaz). "Hardline" is an assault of lust, rage and uncompromising aggression and a true wake-up call to all EBM freaks: the ELM revolution starts now!

Blush Response - Reshaper

2016-04-09 (News)

Blush Response is a fascinating, vibrant new artist, frequenting the outer realms of post punk, industrial, techno, you-name-it and has a plethora of releases. The intention behind Blush Response is to always push the limits of sound, structure, and perception, creating a modern version of what he perceives industrial music to be: brutal, inventive, uncompromising and always innovative. Inspired by industrial music, Blush Response's music is characterized by a heavy approach to sound design, combining rough, heavy beats with thick, distorted synths. A pulsating slice of straightforward noise-filtered techno with a good dose of industrial and ebm influences while Blush's improvising skills enable a sound that blurs the lines between these genres.

Michael Idehall - No Man's Land

2016-04-07 (News)

With 'No Man's Land' the exceptional swedish artist Michael Idehall opens another chapter in his self-defined history of seancetronica - a musical genre based on traditional dark industrial in combination with experimental electronics, tight rhythmic settings and intensely vocalized song structures. Idehall's repetitive, tautologous compositions create a dreamy, otherwordly atmosphere with a paralyzing, hypnotic impact and a supremely ceremonious feel. Pounding funereal beats and dominating sub bass drones build a solid foundation for this album's work, supplemented by abrasive, distorted synth textures and deep, ghostly vocal incantations.
