At the beginning of July the first compilation of native electro scene, signed by Elektropop.pl, has been released.
The disc consists of more than 70 minutes of electroclash, electro pop and house music ideal for dance floor and not only. The list of performers foreshadows varied attitude towards electro music. All tracks were chosen and set together by NUN duet that recently has been contributed to electro pop return.
I like the most songs performed by Play, Plastic Nhood and NUN of course. They are energetic, easy to remember and sometimes it's hard to stand still to it (hits for dance floor?). The one that stays in mind for longer is also Automator with "Everybody Electro'. These are the harder and more interesting moments of this CD. Nice surprise is the presence of Miss Jusis with "Go Spinning" song which differs from the ones created by media. "Go Spinning" in its rythm brings us in pleasant trance. The weak point of the compilation are rather "old" club hits "Nu Limit" and "Hi Fi Superstar'. While listening I also avoid "Kiedyś Cię znajdę" rehashed by NUN. Unfortunately omnipresence of this song in media made it indigestive for me. Quite inetersting remix doesn't help it at all. I also wasn't seducted by Harry Kain with "Góra i Dół, Cukier i Sól" which every time reminds me more of "disco polo" than 'electro polo". Luckily the compilation is closed with two songs by Pol Rax and Vein Cat. It's a bit darker and cloder in its attidute towards the genre.
To sum up, the album is an interesting item on our home music market and presents Polish electro scene. Everyone who likes electrnic sounds stylized on 80s should listen to this album just out of curiosoty. More information about the bands can be found on www.elektropop.pl .
