Meinhard - Alchemusic II – Coagula

2015-10-22 (News)

"Alchemusic II – Coagula" brings the song cycle of Meinhard's two-part magnum opus to a monumental close. Strictly in line with the release's motto, the Chris Harms (Lord Of The Lost) produced album features a myriad of musical liaisons, among them a duet with scene-superstar Chris Pohl (Blutengel). Meinhard on new album, musical visionary, lateral thinker, rare bird and sonic alchemist, has set out to fuse lyrical rollercoaster rides with a diverse array of musical styles, from dark metal via medieval folk straight down to cabaret, all sprinkled with a heavy victorian-gothic-tinge, thus creating a highly addictive monster of goth-rock-opera.
The massive production provides the wildly emotional ride with just the right amount of bang and tumbles the listener head-on into an alchemusical maelstrom of dark atmosphere, playful madness and harsh power. The release not only features the Meinhard + Blutengel-collaboration "Kinder der Sterne", which sees the prince of darkness and the mad alchemist engage in a mesmerizing duet, but producer Chris Harms also didn't need to be asked twice for a vocal contribution to "This Misery." Furthermore, his colleagues in Lord Of The Lost, Gared Dirge and Tobias Mertens, provided some additional visionary musical input and Comte Caspar (Coppelius), Marcus Engel (Rabia Sorda) and Erik Damköhler (A Life Divided) all contributed to this artistic attempt of synthesizing the true sonic equivalent of the sorcerer's stone.

2015-10-20 (News)

After such releases as "Grabsteinland 1", "Herrschaft der Vampire", "Herz der Finsternis" and "Schwarze Feder", all part of the series "Grabsteinland", the story now will continue with the LP "Die Rückkehr". Back to the Land of Ravens, Child-Witches, Man-Wolves, Vampires, the Storm–People, the Landscape of fabulous Creatures and Entities, which are part of our arcaic Subsconscience. For those who are desperate and lost. With the beauty of old dark Fairtyales. Back to Grabsteinland, just to find out, that also in this bright Dream- world, where nature could be a perfect One, everything now has become vast and empty.
Untoten, with their cycle "Grabsteinland" created a World of Poetic Dystopia versus eternal Utopia, and they desighned a "Semantic Ambiguity" of German Gothic, a very big Influence on the dark scene.

Orange Sector - Monoton

Orange Sector are part of the so called "second wave" of the EBM scene with a history of 23 years, 12 album releases, several EP's and singles. The new "Monoton" EP is the first part of a planned trilogy featuring 4 songs and 3 remixes done by NZ, Agrezzior and Celluloid. This new 7 track CD is by far the most strong release by Martin Bodewell and Lars Felker to date.

Killing Joke - Pylon

2015-10-19 (News)

Killing Joke are on a mission to take their music of resistance to a whole new level with latest 16-th studio album "Pylon". With the original line-up of Jaz Coleman, Geordie, Youth & Big Paul continuing to hold firm, will have shows around the world. "Pylon" was produced in the UK and Prague by the band and Tom Dalgety, whose credits include the hugely successful Royal Blood album, and isn’t designed to accompany a quiet night at home in front of the fire; "Pylon" is very much music as ritual – raw, uncompromising and precisely-targeted lyrically, with the artwork put together by regular band associate Mike Coles, the designer behind the very first Killing Joke album. As for the album’s title, says Youth, "It’s simple… Stark brutal industrial suicide… This is the third in a triptych of albums, Absolute Dissent, MMXII and now Pylon… heavy and uncompromising, bleak dystopian lyrics, as well as some visionary celebration… lots of black pain emotion. To be honest, we remain genre blind so our music will always cover a vast spectrum of influences, from disco right through to heavy metal and beyond…".

Morthound - Off the beaten track the light don't shine

2015-10-18 (News)
