Kirlian Camera - Todesengel–The Fall of Life2015-12-08 (News)One of the real classics [from 1991], finally available again in a nice digipak. This re-release comes in the first, original cover concept, never used before. "Todesengel - The Fall of Life" is (together with "Eclipse") one of the most representative album in the Kirlian Camera career, more experimental and hard than others, cold and full of deadly atmospheres, martial rhythms and brilliant melodies. It includes several classics songs, starting from the single "U-Bahn V.2 "Heiligenstadt"", a great dark/gothic dance-floor hit, despite the fact that it was never officially out as single (just as for the song ‘Eclipse' later on). The album also includes two covers: Ultravox' "Vienna" and Queen's "We will rock you". Produced by John Fryer (Depeche Mode, 4AD…). |
The Devil And The Universe - Benedicere2015-12-07 (News)The Devil And The Universe is proud to present its latest and third album "Benedicere". The ever-evolving and design-oriented The Devil And The Universe project has a toolbox filled with musical and imagery equipment as provided by all things e.g. religious iconography. These influences are arranged in a modern and original way, the new interpretation a pre-conception-free reflection of musical genres including Ritual Ambient, New and Minimal Wave. Director and film-score composer John Carpenter (Halloween) describes their vivid music: "I really like it. It’s original and evocative." The protagonists of The Devil And The Universe, Ashley Dayour, Stefan Elsbacher and David Pfister, call their music "Goat-Wave". In the court of content, Christian mysticism plays a decisive role on this album. To capture the essence of the musical content, the band travelled to the most visited pilgrimage site in the world- Lourdes, France, as well as to the Spanish Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey and the Vatican in Rome. The Devil And The Universe are passionately immersed with a sincere affinity in the world of Catholic-Christian thought. |
Shiv-r - Eye of the Needle2015-12-06 (News)For this release, instead of choosing all the remix artists ourselves, we held a remix competition for the track "Eye of the Needle" and issued the remix kit to the public, offering the talented winner a slot on the official CD release. The results of the comp were amazing and we ended up with a huge amount of great remixes that just had to see the light of day. So here we are: we have chosen our favourite 13 remixes from the competition, as well as a few additional remixes we had up our sleeve, and now present this official digital-only self-release! Given the sheer variety on this release, it makes for an engaging listen-through from start to end even with 13 versions of the same track. From Basszilla’s super contemporary electro-house banger, to Nigen’s version, to Restriction 9’s EBM to Valkrye X’s thumping psytrance pulse, this release showcases some great lesser-known names. The killer artwork is realised by Juan Espinosa aka Mekotam. |
Me The Tiger - As We Really Are2015-12-05 (News)"As We Really Are", the second single, taken from the album "Vitriolic", is another strong track for the clubs. It has a deeper meaning: It is about that more and more young people are growing up with mental ill-health in an alienage and being simultaneously directed around between different authorities. Future dreams are replaced by hopelessness and frustration. Despite of the rather serious topic, the song works perfectly as a club song. Getting rid off all these frustrations by dancing to this great song and feel the energy of the music! |
New video from Evestus2015-12-05 (News)The Estonian industrialist releases the first song from his upcoming album "All Goes Black" (due in spring 2016) revealing a more grunge influenced industrial rock sound of the 90s. Take a look into the home of an Industrial Rocker Evestus in his new intimate music video where he honestly depicts his life with addiction, rejection and frustration towards the people around him. "Not everything that is broken is meant to be fixed" discusses Evestus and describes how "Watch You Leave" was the last song written for the new album, capturing best the current mood and state of the artist: "It made sense to release this song first, as a way to symbolise the end of the writing process, too." Evestus has been writing and recording the new material since January 2015, setting up studio at a remote location by the sea, in solitude, in Estonia. The heavily distorted vocals, tortured guitar sound and pulsating mechanical rhythm of this song is descriptive of the mood while not defining the overall sound of the upcoming album which will be "angrier, faster and heavier with a dirty yet focused industrial sound that should be familiar to the fans of 90-s Ministry and Nine Inch Nails sound" promises Evestus. Video is available here. |
