![]() Caustic - Industrial Music2015-11-16 (News)Caustic‘s Matt Fanale has always been hard to nail down as an electronic artist. Whether blasting sonic chaos in his first incarnation as a rhythmic noise punk or his later, broadening arch as more dancefloor-friendly, yet still confounding people with the wild variety of styles on his albums. There’s one thing that can easily be said about Caustic’s output: it’s never boring. And while the styles may change, the creative curiosity remains constant, as does Fanale’s steadfast DIY ethos. After three years, Fanale is finally releasing his seventh full-length Caustic album, appropriately titled ‘Industrial Music’. Returning more to his original raw, visceral sound, ‘Industrial Music’ is in many ways Caustic coming full circle, but still moving forward. Gone is the shiny studio polish, as Fanale’s eye was on dragging you into back the pit with him and giving you the jagged, pounding industrial energy that originally put him on the map, inspired by the gritty late 80s American industrial scene. |

The stylistics varies from dark ambient and psychedelic rock to electro and cyber dark space. The mild synthetic beat that moves to dance rhythm, the classical contrast between low male vocal and ethereal female one. The occult mystic atmosphere gives the special dark mood to the album. Special vinyl mastering made by Necro Stellar's mistermind Yuri Zvezdniy. First time on vinyl - limited to 250 copies. |
![]() Hati - Metanous2015-11-14 (News)"Metanous" is a third CD in group's history, but a debut studio album labeled Hati released by Zoharum. After two years the band comes back with a new release, which is a summary of 2011-2012, when musicians played as a trio: Rafał Iwański, Rafał Kołacki and Robert Darowski. In case of "Metanous" weight of rhythmical percussions is balanced by sound of didgeridoo, which became not an addition, but a full-fledged instrument. As usual you can find here various instruments that create the Hati sound from their very beginning. Music in the new interaction is rich, tracks structures are extended, often based on a dialogue of characteristic gong rhythm with the didgeridoo sound and many other instruments, played by R. Darowski. There are also acoustic drone explorations, equally important in the group's sound. "Metanous" is a change (of mind). For Hati it is also a closure of certain period of activity. The band will never play again in such configuration. This album is a proof of interesting time, set in seven compositions, recorded especially for this release. Artwork is made by Tomek Mirt, mastering is done by Łukasz Miernik. |

![]() Celldöd - Mekaniskt Gransland2015-11-13 (News)"Mekaniskt Gränsland" is the debut full-length release by Sweden’s Celldöd. Celldöd’s Anders Karlsson is not a young techno producer, but a seasoned EBM musician and fanatic, a member of bands including The Pain Machinery and Bunkersex. "Mekaniskt Gränsland" (translation: Mechanical Twilight) is dirty, electronic dance floor music, hardware driven, mostly instrumental, and stripped to the bare bone. The album was made during long, late-night sessions, working with semi-functioning gear from the past (analogue synths and drum machines) as well as new, small and inexpensive machines. Karlsson’s modus operandi for Celldöd is to keep the grit and the rough edges in the production, submitting to the beauty and power of imperfection. The album was originally submitted as a collection of relentless, pounding EBM slammers, equal parts rigid and funky, but consistently geared to the dance floor… however, Celldöd decided to explore his ambient and experimental side as well, and the resulting interludes give "Mekaniskt Gränsland" a more ominous and storylike pace, an uncommon achievement in an album geared to the dance floor. From Celldöd: "Even though you exist in this mechanical twilight, you must try to move forward. Always. Never stand still. Just living is not enough. Do whatever it takes. If you stop you’ll drown." |
