By all those who want an injection of adrenaline music on Darkly Near album certainly would be perceived as boring. We will not find there industrial aggressiveness à la Spahn Ranch. Nay! We will not find spiritual ups, interesting electronic stroking, good melodies, or character... So maybe the vocals then? Nothing, and in the area Athan Maroulis does not convince me.

Project Noir seems to toddle in a place, where suggests the audience trivial to the nausea record. Almost all compositions annoy by their simplicity, incompetence and lack of quality. Over and over again there is repeated the same pattern, manifested primarily by the lack of ideas even for simple melodies. In memory, at most, fall some phrases, than – let’s say - the choruses. Slower, charged with resignation and melancholy tracks blend into one with those with a little faster pace, leading listener to the brink of exhaustion, with a finger glued to the 'next'/'skip' button.

Of course there will be also those, who will consider such solutions as appropriate for that stylistics. However, if not musically there would be better to distinct the way of interpretation - anything that would bring a bit of spontaneity in that unfortunate product.
