Alec Empire alias Alexander Wilke - German musician connected with the current digital hardcore. As the teenager he appeared in punk-rock groups. At this time he met a German artist Hanin Elias. In 1992 with Carl Crack they formed Atari Teenage Riot. In 1994 Empire established in London own label, Digital Hardcore Recordings. DHR released the albums of Atari Teenage Riot, and the name of the label will become determining the entire genre of music. With ATR Alec recorded three LP and many other things. After Atari Teenage Riot fell apart,(2000) - the same as other members of the group - he gave attention to solo projects. He is cooperating with Nic Endo. He was known under few aliases, for example Jaguar, Nintendo Teenage Robots.

Alec Empire is an artist with many faces. With Teenage Riot Atari he revolutionized the electronic music. As the producer he remixed artists from very different musical genres:, Sonic Youth in Thurston Moore, Bjork, Rob of the Zombie, The Ion Spencer of the explosion Blues, or Slayer.

He played with Rage Against The Machine, Wu-Tang Clan, Beck, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails etc. He performed in over fifty countries. Recently triumphantly he returned in the role of the leader Atari Teenage Riot. During Fuji the Rock he played for over 20,000 people.

His performance during SYNESTHESIA MEETING is one of the most important events of this type in Poland.
