Dark Entries (Uscite di Sicurezza), in onda su TRS Rock 102.3, è un format radiofonico ideato e condotto da Elisabetta Laurini, un progetto di riscoperta musicale partendo dalle migliori proposte in ambito underground (che spesso hanno difficoltà ad emergere), fino ad arrivare alle nuove tendenze di ampio respiro, playlist in continuo aggiornamento, puntata dopo puntata, con le ultime uscite discografiche tra indie, wave, punk, alternative ecc.

La possibilità di fare dei veri e propri live in Radio durante il programma, ha dato modo a molti gruppi di poter presentare in diretta la propria musica dal vivo, quindi, in collaborazione con Swiss Dark Nights, è uscita su supporto fonografico una raccolta di registrazioni dal vivo in radio, qualcosa che può sembrare atipico per i nostri tempi ma che viene da molto lontano, tutti infatti ricorderanno john Peel e le sue BBC Session, più di 30 anni fa.
Il prossimo sabato 14 aprile al Traffic Club ci sarà la presentazione dell’omonima release "Dark Entries Radio Session vol. 1" con le band in concerto che hanno partecipato all’iniziativa.

Ash Code is the moniker for the meeting of Alessandro's sensivity and Claudia's taste. Their music describes a collage of darkwave, noise and electronic music with a solid drum machine. Dark ballads and obsessive beats, deep and melancholic synths, noise and distortions, arpeggiators and delays. Lights and shades. Dances of Death. Visions and theatricality. Coded ash.

Winter Severity Index //
Winter Severity Index is a New Wave project from Rome, Italy, by Simona Ferrucci, singer, guitarist, composer and songwriter.
It was born in 2009 as a traditional band, formed by four young women. During 2010 the band published a self-released EP, "Winter Severity Index", distributed by AF Music, now sold-out. In the same year and in 2011 the band received lots of good reviews all over Europe and performed gigs in Italy, in Berlin and in Lisbon, at the Graveyard Fest.
In January 2012 the project took the form of a duo, after the decision of two members to leave the band. Simona continued collaborating with Valentina Fanigliulo (a.k.a. Mushy).
Simona and Valentina recorded the new EP " Survival Rate", released on May 2013 by Blood Rock Records. The EP, now sold out, has been widely distributed all over the world and collected many of good reviews from music magazines and web-zines.
Now Simona is collaborating with Alessandra Romeo (ex Cat Fud and Bohemien).
They recorded the first LP of the project, "Slanting Ray", released on April 2014 by Manic Depression and Blood Rock Records, now sold out. The album was presented in several venues and festivals all over Europe and was mentioned as one of the best New Wave album of the year by many magazines, both in Italy and abroad.
Their second LP Human Taxonomy, released by Manic Depression Records, was recently presented in first preview at the Wave Gothic Treffen in Leipzig receiving a warm welcoming by the audience.

Geometric Vision //
Geometric Vision take form in 2012 in Naples.
Ago Giordano, after several electro-darkwave music experiments decided to create a real band with Gennaro Campanile on bass and Roberto Amato on guitar.
In 2013 the band gave birth to the first album entitled "Dream" coming out for the Italian-Swiss label Swiss Dark Nights.
Characterized by a strong coldwave matrix (sometimes darker, sometimes more ethereal) influenced by the 80's music but revisited in a modern key.
The album was well received by critics in both Italy and abroad so it was played live around Italy during a long tour.
In the beginning of 2015 there was the release of the second album "Virtual Analog Tears" always with the label SDN in collaboration with Manic Depression.
The new album was anticipated by the single "Hills".
The new work, even though it has some similarities with the previous one, is in some ways darker and more acid with shoegaze, ethnic and industrial influences and this shows clearly the new sound research pursued by the band.
V.A.T. seems to have a common thread, the relationship between truth and artifice in the contemporary era and the disorientation that this generate.
The second album allowed the band to cross the national borders and Virtual Analog Tour reached some of the most important European cities and festivals.

Avant-Garde //
Avant-Garde are a Rome based band came to life in 1994 as a creation of Alessio Schiavi with the attitude to re-elaborate the classic dark-wave sound, trying to turn it into something more fresh, upgraded and new without losing the original feeling of 80ies darkwave. After appearances at countless gothic festivals and on various compilations, it was from 2004 when the
project evolved into a real band, with the arrival of Alessandro Conte (bass) in 2004 and Antonio M. in
2006 (guitars). Since then, the band released two full length albums ("Cyanure" in 2004 and the acclaimed "Iron in flesh" in 2008) and performed several gigs all over Europe, having the pleasure to be the support act for bands such as Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, Cinema Strange, And Also The Trees, For Against, The Chameleons, Clan Of Xymox, White Rose Movement …
2010: New line-up, new sounds; Viviana B. and her synths join the band, replacing the second guitar.
Her arrival is adding fresh influences and sounds to the project!
2013: Their third album "Antitesi" is released by the French label Manic Depression Records, recorded as to a 4-piece band with Gianmarco Bellumori on drums.
In 2014 Avant-Garde are ready to spread their sound much further across the borders of homeland Italy than ever before!

Date at Midnight //
Date at Midnight (www.dateatmidnight.com) formed in Rome in 2007, the current line - up features Daniele De Angelis (voice), Pasquale Vico (bass), Francesco Barone (guitar) and Francesco Mignogna (drums), who joined in 2012 following the former drummer Danilo Staniscia, and quickly established a strong reputation both in Italy and abroad.
They released a debut, self - titled EP (2008), and then the album "No Love" (2011) for Manic Depression Records (www.manicdepressionrecords.com). After five years of touring and composing new materials, the band released a new album, "Songs to fall and Forget", again for Manic Depression, bringing some additional wave melancholia to their dark and impacting goth/postpunk sound, widely appraised during the band’s live appearances made all across Europe.

HAPAX //
Hapax progetto nato nel 2014 nella citta' di Napoli (Italia) di matrice Postpunk Coldwave formato da Mozzillo Michele (voce,bass, synth, lyrics) e Diego Cardone (guitar,synth,programming, artwork) il duo combina i suoni newwave/postpunk con moderni arrangiamenti sperimental/industrial.

A Silent Noise //
ASN is a musical project created by Libero Volpe. It came to life in 2007 like a side project, inspired by kosmische and new-wave music, together with space literature and science fiction movies.
In March 2011 Libero (voice and synthesizers) produced "Airwalking", the first ASN's album-cd. Then Lorenzo Ceccarelli (bass guitar) joined the project as well on stage as in the studio and, recently, Stefano Esposito (guitars) become member of the band. In January 2014 ASN released "Kaleidoscope" a white vinyl LP, in limited edition with a black audio CD, included bonus tracks and special remixes. The sound has evolved in "new-wave" style and the dreamy instrumental songs of the first album came together with darkest episodes characterized by evocative voice that finds inspiration in the examples of the classic eighties. Then, ASN has many live concerts in several Italian cities.
In March 2016 ASN presented "Zeit Maschine", a video-concept directed by Marcello de Archangelis, director of "Tersicore" videoclip too in 2013. "Zeit Maschine" is a short movie where all the music is composed like a soundtrack and the story of a time trip through music takes back the band to their first inspiration.
In April 2016 ASN joined with Agoge Records and released "Zeit Maschine", a Single vinyl 7’ that includes the b-side "The Wake". Both songs, together with the original video soundtrack, are distribuited on the major music digital download platforms. Only on order and for a very limited audience (200 numbered copies) the Single vinyl 7’ is included in a special box set that includes also a CD with new songs, and a DVD containing the short movie and the backstage.
Combining synthesizers with guitars and bass guitar, ASN creates visionary soundscapes with a male voice onyric and evocative, inside of a sound full of surrounding and intricate instrumental parts.

... and we were shadows //
AWWS sono un duo nato nell’Ottobre 2012 e formato da Michele (chitarra e tastiere) e Tommaso (basso e voce – membro anche della band wave/shoegaze THE RIP). L’idea di partenza è stata quella di creare sonorità dark puntando molto sull’atmosfera, in linea con le sonorità di gruppi di culto, amatissimi dai due quali Lycia e Black tape for a blue girl, aggiungendo melanconiche chitarre dal sound alla Cocteau twins ed un pizzico di elettronica.A seguito della stesura dei primi brani, in primavera del 2013 il duo decide di iniziare ad incidere un primo demo che prima ancora di vedere la luce viene intercettato da Valerio Lovecchio della Swiss Dark Nights il quale propone loro la pubblicazione di un album intero. Vengono quindi aggiunti altri brani e in Ottobre del 2013, ad un anno esatto dalla nascita del gruppo è pronto il debutto, ‘BEYOND THE LIGHTS’.Le sonorità scure ma pacate del duo sono accompagnate da testi che si muovono su tematiche volutamente ‘negative’ spaziando dalla malinconica voglia di scappare da un mondo che non ci appartiene (Permanent Clouds, Heavier to the Ground,) al disprezzo per la società moderna e il modo in cui le masse sono trattate dai ‘potenti’ (Modern Slavery, CDF, Out of Control).Il 15 aprile 2017 esce il secondo album "THE COLD SPELL", sempre per l’etichetta Swiss Dark Nights capitaniata da Valerio Lovecchio.Sonorità meno ambientali ma sempre scure caratterizzano questo secondo disco con l’inserimento di parti ritmiche più presenti. I testi ricalcano le tematiche del primo disco con qualche testo più nostalgico (the things that never come) sconfinando e concludendo in una Lullaby poco rassicurante.Di prossima pubblicazione "Astratto" canzone ispirata ad un racconto di Giulia Massetto, una mini suite di 15 minuti dai toni Dark Ambient.
