Here's another Depeche Mode - like production – this time from Sweden. However, if it was so monotonous and similar to all the rest i wouldn't write about it. There is something about this EP.
„Half a lover” includes 12 minutes of simple and yet beautiful music, created for dreamers. Some inspiration by Depeche Mode is definitely audible, but here it's combined with The Cure and a bit of Joy Division. The effect is interesting and pleasant for listening. The title track is a very emotional one, it could be placed somewhere at the border of melancholy and reflection. The voice of the vocalist and the combination of his expression and the stringed instruments attracts attention. Together it gives a splendid effect. The EP is to encourages to listening to the longplay While we fall”.Surely I'm encouraged to do so.
