Two lads from Berlin that go by the name of Formalin have dared the attempt to tackle the gargantuan task of creating a sonic monument for their hometown, aptly naming the resulting sound "Berlin City Industrial."
Their brainchild is raw, aggressive, unpolished, dirty, repulsive, beautiful, glamorous and stylish all at once – just like the world’s most exciting city. Singer and mastermind Tominous and drummer and producer Gabor merge daring and creative sound design with relentlessly harsh sonic works branded with a highly addictive potential: a rough and fascinating club sound that shamelessly provokes where other bands prefer to follow long-faded trends. "Bodyminding" is a purging sonic storm for a shop worn genre, created in the spirit of the early works of Skinny Puppy or Mentallo & The Fixer, but with a sound that has its sights set on the future and that is heavily infused with the spirit of Germany’s capital. The Hard-Electro-pioneers from Hocico were so impressed by the band’s music that they invited Formalin to support them on their European tour without further ado.

Released on Out Of Line and available October 29th, 2010.
