I won't be driven to comparing this record to the last one. I don't it's fair to say that the latest record is worse or better than "Divine Infection". It's a bit different. Sure, it's a useless argument, as a new record is meant to surpass its predecessor, but that's not the point. Listening to the first two songs and the few next ones, I haven't noticed any peculiar changes, either for better or worst. Just a new electro album on a long list of similar releases, making a great thing to have fun to while storming the dancefloor.
Yet it occurred that one can find some interesting solutions here, making the album stand apart among others. The first one is "Requiem For The Christian Era", a track that surprised me. A great track! Not to dance to. To stop for a while. A beautiful choir, a superbly included heavy, slow beat. I can't believe it's the same band! It's so good to be surprised from time to time. At times like this I admit it's good to check out new stuff, even though I'd love to stay with the oldies-goldies. Sometimes someone has got to find such "flavours". "The Feeding" is another good track. Many will stare in amazement at the non-electronic, metal sound of this song. I'd even say it's blackmetal. The vocals make me think of Emperor and old Cradle of Filth. Same with the riffs. A guitar track that sounds like Burzum. What a surprise! Many a black metal fanatic would be amazed! The first song, "Inri", also deserves to be mentioned. An electronic malleus maelficarum. Heavy vocals and uncompromising music as a mix we know from Hocico and Suicide Commando's hits. I can't omit "Harlot", as well. Thanks to such songs, the album becomes unique. This makes it different from the previous one, from the others.
"The Unfortunate". I'd love to hear someone say that it's not a great instrumental insertion, that'd totally suprise me. I could ennumerate song after song, anyway. It's not the point, though. What's more for me to write here? You have to listen to this LP! I won't say a thing more! OK, let me just put a single one here... Revelation!
