Originally, the band played garage glam rock, and later began to draw from gothic rock, horror punk and gothic metal. With the change of style, The 69 Eyes have gained more and more popularity around the world. History of the Finnish band The 69 Eyes began in the winter of 1990, when five young fans of The Ramones decided to start his own band.
They all lived in Helsinki, from the beginning of their playing were trying to influence the image of the local scene. Today they are associate with the classic gothic band, however, but it didn’t use to always. Among the early inspiration of 69 Eyes were hard rock bands such as Motorhead, Iggy & The Stooges or The Ramones.

Always one of the most important musical influence was also a classic sonic of The Doors. In 1990, the most important for 69 Eyes was to play the loudest and just to be known. Developing band’s own style, which is a unique blend of melancholy, gothic sound and rock and roll roots disasters, came a little later.

At its 23rd birthday Finnish dark metal legend has prepared another album, this time entitled "X", which group will be promoted in Warsaw & Krakow.
