Swedish progressive metal band, Katatonia, will play two concerts in Poland this year. Katatonia is scheduled to play in Krakow (Rotunda) on March 31 and in Warsaw (Stodoła) on April 1. With the "New Night Over Europe" tour Katatonia will promote their eighth studio album, "Night Is the New Day", released in November 2009. Critical reception for the album was generally positive and "Night Is the New Day" is considered to be the band’s greatest work – Katatonia have experimented with metal music for a long time, but it is their latest album - "Night Is the New Day" that is the most diverse release.
