Pain - Coming Home

2016-09-10 (News)

When Peter Tägtgren is ascending from the depths of his legendary Abyss Studio to take the microphone, a little musical revolution is inevitable. Because what else would you expect from a death metal veteran, who not only plays industrial metal with Pain, but is considered to be one of the most influential producers in the metal scene and just recently launched his controversial project Lindemann in partnership with Rammstein's frontman.
Since the beginning Peter Tägtgren enjoyed diving into the extreme and has grown to be an untameable force. But this is exactly what makes him so fascinating. Taboos, creative stagnation or genre boundaries have never existed in his world.
He wandered the same unexplored paths when the time came to forge »Coming Home«, the 8th studio release of the industrial institution Pain. However, the path was long.
Therefore, it is no wonder, that Pain deliver a revolutionary mix of styles on this new release - bizarre alternative metal meets electronic melodies - and, in addition, the band weave some spectacular orchestral arrangements into the tracks on »Coming Home«. The result are ten highly addictive metal hymns with massive depth and experimentation.

Raymond Watts, the Lord of Lard returns with "The Gospel". Killer cuts and pure lux, ably assisted by his partners in swine: En Esch, Z. Marr, Guenter Schulz and Mark Thwaite. PIG preaches a gospel of slide guitars, power chords, electro-menace, church bells and lust, original sin and immaculate lies, with a voice of crooning mirthful damnation and growling indulgent redemption.

Assemblage 23 - Endure

2016-09-07 (News)

With the new album, "Endure", Assemblage 23 furthers his distinctive place in the narrative of modern EBM and industrial. An intensely personal and aptly titled look into the heart of the artist, "Endure" is a beautiful album engorged with emotion. There is an overarching feeling of resignation to push through the melancholia that the world can inspire, a determination to endure, and to thrive.
