The Beauty of Gemina - Anthology Vol. 1 [2007-2015]2015-11-20 (News)A first "Anthology" for the popular Swiss act, covering the years 2007 to 2015, thus starting with tracks from their brilliant debut 'Diary of Lost' (2007) until today! The CD is not just a collection of already famous tracks, but also features a number of rarities, live- and acoustic tracks! The Beauty of Gemina band composes a very eclectic sound, merging elements of gothic, electronics and wave. They don't really belong to any kind of definable style, and as a result they have become successful in a broad range of 'scenes', from Electro & Wave to the Gothic scene! The balance between electronics and guitar has always been remarkable while some dynamic drums are leading the listener into a frenetic dance. The Beauty of Gemina produce a kind of new-wave sound transposed to a real modern and progressive style. |
Dead When I Found Her - All The Way Down2015-11-19 (News)Dead When I Found Her's 2012 Rag Doll Blues was hailed as a masterpiece, mining and exploring the sounds and atmospheres of mid-80s industrial and filling out the package with a pop sensibility that was unique and fresh. On Holloway's third full-length, delves into his darkest yet exploration of sound and theme, one that represents a huge departure from the project's previous efforts. "All The Way Down" is, as its title insinuates, an extreme album. The darkness of the opening track Expiring Time is easily one of the most arresting pieces the industrial movement has had in memory. But the album is not just dark, and not just pre-occupied with death for the sake of it; it isn't bleak, it's downright honest, and frightening. While still grounded in Holloway's knack for writing a beautiful pop melody, the project is on a new level here, and what initially felt like a kick-ass industrial band now feels like a meditation on your deepest fears and most private, desperate moments. |
Alien Vampires - Drag You To Hell2015-11-18 (News)"Drag You To Hell" is Alien Vampires' new evil manifesto. A relentless collection of powerful sonic assaults revealing a band in its revolted punchy "hate" attitude and its venomous provocative form of art. If the opening noir and mystic track "The Divinity Of Solitude" definitely sets the overall atmosphere of the album with the intense hateful voice of Attila Csihar (Mayhem & Sunn O)))), the very catchy "She Owns The Nite [Lilith]" sets the perfect balance between Alien Vampires' characteristic upbeat industrial sound and its harsh elektro sequences and the muscled dark metal guitars which come and reinforce their sound. And the other new club hit "You Wish Me Dead Get In Line" will not contradict this assertion, with a powerful chorus you'll quickly sing along while dancing to this ultimate industrial grunge groove. Hammering "All The Fakes Must Die", the darkish technoid "Lock It" or yet the exploding hi-energy industrial-rave "Touch" and its addictive sonic lobotomy effect. Alien Vampires have managed to make this collection sound very homogeneous although some songs get backed-up by incisive guitar parts adding flesh to the compositions, reinforcing at times the melodic parts or simply giving the rhythm to the song, but also on others fully supporting the industrial rage making the wall of noise full and complete. |
The Saint Paul - Days Without Rain2015-11-17 (News)With the new release "Days Without Rain" The Saint Paul present their second full studio album to date. After their debut album "Consequence" which was released in 2013 by Danse Macabre/UCM Records and the first EP "Rewind The Time" the band got back to the studio to create an epochal piece of modern electronic pop music! Their music holds traditional synth pop/electro pop elements enriched by unforseen moments inspired by mundane situations or people entering the scenery. Music as diverse as life itself. Twelve masterpieces with depth, melody and atmosphere. A true "must have" for all fans of bands such as Mesh, Covenant, Camouflage or Torul. |
Caustic - Industrial Music2015-11-16 (News)Caustic‘s Matt Fanale has always been hard to nail down as an electronic artist. Whether blasting sonic chaos in his first incarnation as a rhythmic noise punk or his later, broadening arch as more dancefloor-friendly, yet still confounding people with the wild variety of styles on his albums. There’s one thing that can easily be said about Caustic’s output: it’s never boring. And while the styles may change, the creative curiosity remains constant, as does Fanale’s steadfast DIY ethos. After three years, Fanale is finally releasing his seventh full-length Caustic album, appropriately titled ‘Industrial Music’. Returning more to his original raw, visceral sound, ‘Industrial Music’ is in many ways Caustic coming full circle, but still moving forward. Gone is the shiny studio polish, as Fanale’s eye was on dragging you into back the pit with him and giving you the jagged, pounding industrial energy that originally put him on the map, inspired by the gritty late 80s American industrial scene. |
