Blutengel - In Alle Ewigkeit2015-10-25 (News)Right on time for the second leg of their tour in support of their top-5-album "Omen", Blutengel are gifting their fans with new material. With three brand-new hits, 2 club-compatible collaborations, a rework of a classic tune, a remix and two unreleased demos, the mini album "In Alle Ewigkeit" clocks in at LP-length. "In Alle Ewigkeit" is a special gift to all Blutengel-fans in many different ways. The title track is a perfect opener, with its club-compatible mix of cold gloominess, emotional depth and an anthemic chorus on a solid foundation of powerful Electronica and quickly establishes itself as the legitimate successor to the group's mega-hit "Reich mir die Hand." The captivating re-work of the classic "Weg zu mir" combines past and present in a highly impressive way, just to be followed up with "Between The Lines", another Blutengel-smash-hit that hearkens back to the early days. "Kinder der Sterne" is an anthemic duet with tour-support Meinhard, while "Insane" and "Nightlife" aim at the clubs with heavy beats and distorted vocals. An alternate mix then shows the title song from a different perspective before the mini-album comes to a close with two demos from the recording sessions for "Monument" which give fans the unique opportunity how the songs have developed from the first recordings to the versions that would eventually find their way onto the album. |
Inkubus Sukkubus - Mother Moon2015-10-24 (News)"Mother Moon" is the 19th Album released by Inkubus Sukkubus. The band formed in 1989 and have been recording and performing live continuously for the last 26 years. Recently performing at the Amphi Festival in Germany and Castle Fest in Poland, as well as in Scandinavia and several dates in the UK, they show no signs of slowing down and their latest release "Mother Moon", is testament to this. The Album differs slightly from previous releases in that, although it contains the usual electric Rock tracks, such as the title track, Mother Moon, it is predominantly an acoustic album, and also features for the first time in Inkubus Sukkubus history, the "finger picking" nylon string technique. Lyrically the album is once more an odyssey into the Pagan world and human nature with all its darkness and all of its light, from the joyous "Mother Moon" which is a celebration of the feminine divine within nature, to "No End to War" which concedes that conflict is a universal and eternal element to the human experience. Inkubus Sukkubus once more deliver, the bitter and also the sweet. |

Solar Fake - Another Manic Episode2015-10-22 (News)Solar Fake is releasing their eagerly awaited album number 4. "Another Manic Episode". On the new release, Sven Friedrich's (Zeraphine, Dreadful Shadows) highly successful electro-project is embarking on an intense tightrope walk between massive club-power, anthemic pop-qualities and intense emotional moments. Friedrich helms the band with his trademark charismatic voice, which safely steers the listener through a quite diverse spectrum of emotions, ranging from raw anger to soothing emotionality, all of which make up an essential part of "Another Manic Episode." Floor filler anthems like the advance single "All The Things You Say" or the forceful "Fake To Be Alive", stand side by side with raw club-powerhouses like "Not What I Wanted" or "The Race Of The Rats" and mesmerizingly emotional ballads like the gripping "Stay", giving the new Solar-Fake-album a level of diversity and deepness that many releases in the electro-genre are sorely missing. "Another Manic Episode" is also released as a deluxe double disc version featuring a bonus mini album and as a strictly limited fan box, which contains for example a third disc of gripping piano versions. |
Meinhard - Alchemusic II – Coagula2015-10-22 (News)"Alchemusic II – Coagula" brings the song cycle of Meinhard's two-part magnum opus to a monumental close. Strictly in line with the release's motto, the Chris Harms (Lord Of The Lost) produced album features a myriad of musical liaisons, among them a duet with scene-superstar Chris Pohl (Blutengel). Meinhard on new album, musical visionary, lateral thinker, rare bird and sonic alchemist, has set out to fuse lyrical rollercoaster rides with a diverse array of musical styles, from dark metal via medieval folk straight down to cabaret, all sprinkled with a heavy victorian-gothic-tinge, thus creating a highly addictive monster of goth-rock-opera. The massive production provides the wildly emotional ride with just the right amount of bang and tumbles the listener head-on into an alchemusical maelstrom of dark atmosphere, playful madness and harsh power. The release not only features the Meinhard + Blutengel-collaboration "Kinder der Sterne", which sees the prince of darkness and the mad alchemist engage in a mesmerizing duet, but producer Chris Harms also didn't need to be asked twice for a vocal contribution to "This Misery." Furthermore, his colleagues in Lord Of The Lost, Gared Dirge and Tobias Mertens, provided some additional visionary musical input and Comte Caspar (Coppelius), Marcus Engel (Rabia Sorda) and Erik Damköhler (A Life Divided) all contributed to this artistic attempt of synthesizing the true sonic equivalent of the sorcerer's stone. |
