Works of Rottersand are defined as Industrial Pop, Future Pop or EBM. As a relatively young band, they quickly climbed up the ladder of popularity. Their singles have reached pretty high positions on the music charts, and the group shared the stage with the biggest bands. In September 2009, EP War On Error saw the daylight. I have to admit that this is actually almost a mini-album, because it contains seven compositions!
War on Error (declaration) begins this compilation, it has a strong, diverse melody, which we can hear several levels of. This guarantees a full dance floor, which does not come down even when Bastards Screaming (on and on) will appear. The song is more melodic, a little calmer, it is a reminiscent of the early days of the group. Danceable beginning of the compilation, breaks calm We will kill them all (lullaby). It's a classic ballad, well composed, with the lyrics that cannot be ignored. Speak To Me (epic) is a melancholy breaker, it distinguished by a great beat traversed with the original samples, which are the great mix of what's new and what is classic in Rottersand. Dirty - you cannot reproach anything against it, though the piece does not impress like the other songs. Bastards screaming (shortcut) is an abridged version, which may be used by a DJ at the party. Interesting ideas for the arrangements in War on Error (reprise) are not delightfull, I think they could do better than that. The last track is War On Error (dj edit) and does not differ so much from the original; mixes are fairly subtle, althought I wouldnot write it off.
The whole War On Error is extremely consistent, an excellent announcement for the Random is Resitance album. The group has established a categorical imperative, the theme, the direction which they systematically follow. Since the beginning those renegades, futurists have been fighting for survival in the system taken straight from the world of sci-fi.
