Metroland - Things Will Never Sound The Same Again

2016-02-01 (News)

In August 2015 Metroland suffered a tragic blow when their sound engineer and very close friend Louis Zachert, the group's Passenger L, passed away. As a personal tribute, Passengers A and S created a complete new album from scratch, where every song, every note and the featured CD art is their way of saying thank you and goodbye to their close friend and fellow passenger. The 11 titles on the album each describe or embody what Louis means to the band in general and to both Passengers on a personal level: his witty e-mail headers, the name of his recording studio, his genuine love for synthetic music, his other musical projects and, especially, life itself.
When comparing the music on this album to former releases, the listener will surely notice a darker, slightly mellow edge, while rediscovering the typical Metroland sound that clearly toys with sounds from analogue synthesizers, pulsating rhythms and effective samples.
This 3rd release is not just an album, it's a profound production filled with sentiment and a heartfelt message to every one out there, but to Louis Zachert in particular: "Things will never sound the same again"… This album is not a commercial product. It's an homage, in every possible respect.

Here comes the first 6-track EP by the enchanting project Sin.Sin. "Fairytronics" invites us into Kristell L.’s magic supernatural world located high up on clouds in the heavens. An intimate and almost introspective world made of rainbows and bright nights and only accessible through the magical power of mixing fantasy with electronic music.

And her winning teamwork on Sin.Sin with the Italian genius producer Maxx of Helalyn Flowers for both mixing and production gives an absolute twist and spiritual dimension to the project.

Junksista - Trust No Bitch

2016-01-30 (News)

With 2 full length albums and a plethora of EP’s/singles under their belt, the controversial German duo strike back with their most aggressive, hypnotic and industrial release ever. Distorted noises, hammering bass lines and heavy beats challenge your stereo system at maximum volume! Viral and addictive, this new song is bound to become another instant club hit for the Junksista sound machine.
"Trust No Bitch" is actually taken from the band’s forthcoming mini-album "American Love Story" which is the soundtrack that Junksista scored for the award winning horror short film by talented director Timur Örge (Mumukuba). Darker and rougher than ever, this song also gets reworked in 4 radically different versions by the cyber industrial act XMH, the terror hellektro Venal Flesh, the ambient techno Restriction 9 as well as the edgy synth electro band Dekad.

Front 242 - Detox Static

2016-01-29 (News)

In the summer of 2015 Front 242 opened a remix competition for the same "Take One" classic song.
Overwhelmed by the success of the competition and the several hundreds of remixes that got sent to Alfa Matrix, it took much more time than initially expected to get all of these competition entries played to the various jury members and eventually reach a final top 3 of the most favorite remixes.
To thank you all for your much appreciated patience, Front 242 release for free "Detox Static" EP exclusively available only through Bandcamp. It features a remastered version of "Take One", plus the remix work by the 6 (and not only 3!) first winners of the remix competition.
Congratulations to Ad:Key, Eisfabrik, Kant Kino, Tefonik, Restriction 9 and Digital 440 for being part of the "Detox Static" sonic adventure. And a big thank you to all of you who took part in the competition.
