Advanced Art - Archive

2015-12-11 (News)

The legendary Finnish project Advanced Art has definitely entered with all the honors in the prestigious retro Electro / EBM / Industrial firmament, commemorating its thirtieth anniversary of foundation by this unmissable double album. "Archive" is a realization of fundamental import_ance for all the alternative record collectors: it contains an extraordinary historical fragment of the European electronic sound, now condensed in a long succession of songs, including rarities and live-tracks which any fan of this band will be proud of possess. Catchy vocal calligraphism, melodies and atmospheres electronically obscure, pulsing drum-programming always interacting with the most compelling danceability, they are the prerogatives of this triumphant discographic creation that will honor the last part of the year 2015 and more. "Archive" is a concatenation of synthetic emotions, the tangible evidence of the value of one of the best bands into the technological oldschool music scene, an album that summarizes years of glory, avant-gardism and true talent. The dual function of this great album is mainly to commemorate the unique style and the uniqueness of Advanced Art, but also to spread their repertoire to the new generation of electro-listeners, still continuing with them the authentic tradition of a sound that never fade.

Kirlian Camera - The Three Shadows

2015-12-10 (News)

This is old material, written and recorded from 1989 to 1991, released for the first time ever and originally conceived to be the accompanying single for the album "Todesengel - The Fall of Life". The quality of these tracks, directly from the archive and saved by miracle, is typical of the Kirlian Camera's sound of the late 80s, but also more deserted and suffered, announcing the icy career of the near future (more underground comparing with the pop-attitutude of "Eclipse" or "Blue Room"). The 5 tracks are intense and drammatic, starting with the opening "Lights from Poland" that is a brilliant instrumental also included in the LP-Picture Disc edition of Todesengel (Triton 1998). A great opportunity to discover a real piece of history.

Council of Nine returns with this second full length album, entitled "Diagnosis". Deep, psychological, personal and complex. Kirlian Camera - Todesengel–The Fall of Life

2015-12-08 (News)

One of the real classics [from 1991], finally available again in a nice digipak. This re-release comes in the first, original cover concept, never used before. "Todesengel - The Fall of Life" is (together with "Eclipse") one of the most representative album in the Kirlian Camera career, more experimental and hard than others, cold and full of deadly atmospheres, martial rhythms and brilliant melodies. It includes several classics songs, starting from the single "U-Bahn V.2 "Heiligenstadt"", a great dark/gothic dance-floor hit, despite the fact that it was never officially out as single (just as for the song ‘Eclipse' later on). The album also includes two covers: Ultravox' "Vienna" and Queen's "We will rock you". Produced by John Fryer (Depeche Mode, 4AD…).
