1.) Just tell us something about you. Where you from, when did you meet and start "Jabberwock", etc...?
Corrado: Hello, we are Jabberwock from Paris. Jabberwock started about ten years ago, we have been playing this kind of dark styled music for about 5 years now. Xavier plays the bass, Lena sings and I play the guitar.
Lena: Xavier and Corrado met at the university, and I met them when they were looking for a singer.

2.) Describe us your style of music and what makes you special compared to other bands:)?
C: We actually play a very particular blend of dark styled music. We mix industrial, gothic, punk and electronic influences into something very unique.
L: The fact that we mix those different styles allows us to enlarge our audience because everybody can find themselves through our different influences.

3.) Do you have an inspiring example to make the music you finaly make? If yes, what is it?
C: We have multiple influences in terms of music. We get inspiration from bands like Siouxsie and the Banshees for example, Joy division, Nine Inch Nails, Ministry and some strange bands like King Crimson and Laurie Anderson.
L: And I think what is important in our artistic creation is to get inspiration from different arts like music of course but also cinema or painting for instance.
Xavier: And apart from music I think the most inspiring example is the world we are living in.

4.) How long did you work for your new album "Sweet Limbo"?
C: Well it has been quite a slow process. The first songs were written two years.
X: Yes we are kind of slow we like to take our time. We can spend quite a while tweaking an effect, a voice effect, a saturated sound
L: We prefer to take our time in a way to make things better

5.) "Sweet Limbo" is your second album and your second album in this year. Is there enough stuff to fill albums or do you work on and on? And can we estimate a third album in a half year?
C: Well, to correct things the first has been issued three years ago in France and it has been reissued in Germany about six months ago, in the middle of 2008. So actually there were three years between the two albums. Don't expect to have one immediately just after "sweet limbo"!

6.) If i listen to songs like "Faster" - i assume you want to express your personal payback to the so called "fast moving society". Am i right?
C: Yes, it is actually one aspect of the song. The thing we wanted to tell through "faster" is that our society and the media have convinced us that we should be happy immediately and everything should be ok immediately. We want everything now and this leads to a constant frustration. This is what we meant through "faster".

7.) Are you happy with the world we are all livin in? What could be changend in your opinion?
L: Well it's true we often feel have no power facing the tough reality of life. But to me, to us, starting to speak about this tough reality is already something important because it means being aware of what happens in this world.
C: Yes, right, and once you are aware of what happens it's either easier to change it in the future and to be able to live with it or cope with it. Usually it takes one generation to realize something goes wrong and the next generation to fix it. So we are the guys trying to realize what is going wrong.

8.) What was important for you when you started thinking about "Sweet Limbo" and/or during the production process? What was your main intension/goal?
C: Well our first album was very raw and it was a translation of what we played live into album. For the second CD we wanted something that was more listenable from one end to the other, something that has a better flow. So this was our main intent, have something that s coherent from one end to the other
X: Yes, and the first album is maybe more pure energy and this one has still a good amount of energy but with a little bit more melodies I would say.

9.) How did you get in touch with your new label Black Rain Records? What´s your personal advice for all the unknown but good bands out there without a label?
C: About one year ago we were looking for a way to get heard outside from France. So with help of friends we tried to get in touch with foreign labels. And then we met the guys from black rain, and they were very nice so we decided to sign a deal with them.
X: We do not have any particular advice to give, the only thing is to do like we do, go on doing what we like whatever happens and things happen!
C: And keep havin’ fun!
L: Yes have fun and just do what you feel like doing.

10.) You are already very experienced in perfoming your music live. What can we except from Jabberwock on tour? Do plan a special new live show for your new album?
L: The stage is very important to sue because this is the place we can fully express ourselves. In my interpretation I try to bring different characters, like on actress on stage.
C: And I play like an introverted shoegazing guitar player...
X: And I play the bass!
C: Yes, but he does not simply play bass, he is the energy driven bass, bouncing everywhere on stage. So it is a very special live show with everybody having its own character…
L: Its own personality but with a common energy
C: And when the venue permits it we have a special VJing show done by our friends KOSMOS4K with very nice images that go perfectly with our songs.
X: In summmary come to the show

11.) Will we see you on festivals or your own tour maybe in germany in 2009?
C: We are currently booking dates for 2009. We do not have any dates planned for Germany but we are strongly looking into it.
